Leader of Behavior Intervention
Nay Smith, PsyD LMFT BCBA
Dr. Nay Smith has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for15 years. Her passion for designing individualized ABA programs for children and families stems from an understanding that people learn differently. Dr. Nay believes one of the hardest challenges in life is the expectation that an individual must fit into a proscribed “box.” As a behaviorist, Dr. Nay embraces each child or teen she supports by finding a path to help her individual clients enjoy life by accessing their environments with ease.
Dr. Nay received a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology in 2012 from National University, became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2014, earned a Doctorate of Psychology in Marriage Family Therapy (PsyD) in 2016 from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and became a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) in 2018. Dr. Nay has enjoyed pursuing her career at SNRG because the agency enthusiastically encourages her to implement the scientific principles of ABA across a diverse population. Through her work with SNRG, Dr. Nay is expanding her understanding of the importance of combining ABA with Education to help expand client growth across settings. SNRG’s mission to help children and teens be the best they can be has rejuvenated her passion for the field.
When not working with clients at SNRG, Dr. Nay enjoys working with adults, children, and family in her private practice NSmith Therapy. During her free time, she enjoys shopping for sneakers, watching good movies, and enjoying the beach.
